The CEO of Roc Nation, Desiree Perez has given new instructions for the annual Made in America festival. The instructions given by her were to secure the safety of the people who will come to the festival including the concertgoers, performers, and the staff for the mentioned festival. The announcement made by Desiree Perez means that Made in America will be one of the major festivals which implemented added safety measures so that the people who will be involved in the event will not get their health at risk.
In Perez’s perspective, the decision she made was to make sure that people who bought tickets for the event will be able to enjoy the music celebration during the festival without having Made in America become a cause of spreading the COVID-19 virus. The event is supposed to be held on September 4 and 5.
The increase in security was made because of the Pandemic still being around the United States, with caseloads, symptomatic cases, and hospitalization rates increase throughout the country. Desiree Perez said that the people who bought tickets for the event must be vaccinated and present their proof of vaccination or they may submit a COVID-19 test with a negative result taken within 48 hours of getting into the event.
Those who are unable to comply these requirements will have to take a rapid test for COVID-19 at the concert gates. If ever they will be deemed not suitable to attend the event, their money will be refunded and will not be allowed to enter. The attendees will also have to wear face masks throughout the event as required by the organizers. The new Delta variant of the mentioned virus was the reason they are more careful in this event because it was reported to be more infectious.
